    @thewordgirl I’ve been a founder/CEO of a YC backed company, and a co-founder/CTO of a YC company. If your product has much complexity at all, you need a technical co-founder. Full stop.

If you went with templates, you should probably speak with the firm that created them to draft the appropriate docs for him to sign: a separation agreement, repurchase agreement...
