@omssandy That's one of the pros of this opportunity. There are a couple guys there who I have a tremendous amount of respect for and I could learn things I just don't at this point.

1.5 year pest control company update. I've been approached about being aquired

Hey all. I almost to the 1.5 year mark for my small pest control company. I'm at 125Ish accounts and 50k in yearly recurring revenue. I'm way behind on my goals. At this point I wanted to be at at least 90k. I was able to quit my full time job in October and focus on the biz more but got a...

Starting a pest control company in 9 days

@adrienbchiggins General pests, including mice and rats. Everything except mosquito and termite. Those are additional licenses. Also not doing wildlife. I'll include those when I go full time, but I may get mosquito sooner. Prevention and extermination. Most of the business I used to do...

Starting a pest control company in 9 days

Hello. In nine days I'm starting a pest control company. I'm under a noncompete from my previous employer that has restricted me from performing pest control in my area for the past 2 years. I work for a great company now (not pest control), with good pay and I only work 4 days a week. This...

Pest Control Company update #3. 1.5 months in. Is BNI worth it. Do you use HomeAdvisor?

@danseeker1 No cold calling, I've done some door knocking, and no flyers. I've sent out letters though. I have heard the same mixed things about BNI. Some people swear by it and others think it's a waste.

Pest Control Company update #3. 1.5 months in. Is BNI worth it. Do you use HomeAdvisor?

@joanzoraqi2014 Thanks!! I'm not sure if $20-$23 a lead is worth it. Not knowing how quality the leads are. When I'm not working my 9-5 and doing pest control I'm trying to network. 😩

Pest Control Company update #3. 1.5 months in. Is BNI worth it. Do you use HomeAdvisor?

Hey guys. Thank for all of the advice and encouragement. I appreciate you. I just wanted to give an update and celebrate a small milestone. I am 43 days in and I have ~25 accounts and I've hit $1000 in revenue. I have a long way to go before I'm able to do it full time but I'm proud of my...

Do you consider your one-person operation a business?

@coldsummer Yes a one-person operation is a business. When you have success there are going to be bitter people, especially online, who show up. Which is evident on that post. Which is disappointing because it's an actual person starting an actual sweaty startup.
