Does a tool for testing website bot protection sound interesting?

Hello, r/indiebiz!

I think it's probably safe to assume that everyone who's visiting this subreddit and owns an indie business has a website. You're also probably concerned with that website's stability, performance, and ultimately protection from bots.

This is where BotMeNot comes in.

It's a tool created for testing websites' bot protection (ie. how well protected your website is from bots).

It works by running a test on a website that you choose. There are currently three types of tests (Starter, Light, and Smart). All of them are based on simulating bot behavior on a selected website.

After the testing is done, you get a clear score of the website's bot protection (from 0 to 100), evidence of the performed tests, and a list of recommendations on what can you do to improve its bot protection.

It takes less than 10 minutes to perform a test!

And the best thing of all - it's currently FREE to use. BotMeNot is in Beta Stage and what we're currently looking for is honest feedback.

Feel free to use BotMeNot and let us know what you think! You can either reply here or (even better) send your thoughts to [support@botmenot.com](mailto:support@botmenot.com)
