Video. Article. Podcast.

Casey Walsh (@jordank22) stopped by my office in Athens GA to tell the story of Stand Up Guys junk removal.

He went from nearly dropping out of high school to the owner of a junk removal business that brings in $4MM a year at an 18% profit margin. The company operates in 6 states and has 7 locations.

In this episode Casey shares how he overcame obstacles to start the business as a 19 year old in Marietta GA. He grew the business slowly and about 4 years ago began to rapidly expand and there is no end in sight.

He has 54 employees and a lot of this episode is devoted to managing, hiring and motivating those folks. Casey has a special connection with his people.

Thanks for coming on the show Casey and I hope you all enjoyed this episode!

@mariusk Don’t mean to be a downer, but isn’t that $13K in take home pay per employee per year? Doesn’t that work out to below minimum wage? :/

This guy has tremendous grit, but the financials don’t look very inspiring.

@warriorprincess02 Honestly impressive, that turns that 13k per employee number to be even more impressive as he is probably paying them very close to market value or total value as he is only making that much profit off of each employee.
