How profitable is an ice plant?

Saw an ice plant along the highway while riding a jeep... Just wondering if may nakatry n b nito as a business? Gaano kalaki ang capital to start this business? Madali bang makakuha ng customers? Madali bang patakbuhin than other types of businesses?

@kwanoss02 No idea on the exact returns, pero parang hindi ganon kalaki. Seasonal lang siya. An average family will just make their own ice on a normal day. Bibili lang kapag di kaya ng capacity ng ref nila usually during holidays and festivities. Nasa location din siguro at kung siya lang magisa doon.

Mahal ang kuryente, mahal ang tubig/water treatment, mahal ang machines, etc. Sobrang perishable din, you can't deliver it sa mga malalayong areas since magmelt siya, even may ice box hindi na same yung product kapag dumating.

I think there's a reason why kokonti lang yung mga ganito. Yung mga industrial scale lang siguro yung feasible na nagcacater sa mga businesses din like frozen products at mga perishable goods like vaccines, medicines, and chemicals.

@kwanoss02 Yes. Ice plants kasi hindi naman market nyan buyers na retails. Target nyan resto and fish supplier
