List App, do you always start out w/ a login page?

Do you always start with a login page for an app? have you found a login/signin page for MVP to be too much of a barrier to entry?

I have an app which is a version of making lists of things. To save the lists i wanted to attribute them to a person somehow.

@davey_0373 Well, for a list app you could create an anonymous user the first time a user comes to the site. And when the user wants to use premium features or access the list from another device you can force them to register.

@freeknowledge I am adopting that strategy of anonymous user for my recent app socialthumbnailgenerator.com

I don’t even have the login page and you can have a full dashboard working. But need to collect users emails very soon.
