Product Hunt testing its new website design. I am sharing the changes that are made:
- Now you can see your daily and weekly ranking. Previously it was difficult to figure your rank beyond the top five -- daily and weekly both.
- Many changes made to UI as well. The sidebar is removed on product pages, the focus is now more on the product and comments thread.
- Every page shows trending products. So you have an advantage for discoverability if you're in top 10.
- Product of the day / week / month badges have changed. Update your websites to reflect the new badges.
- Product Hunt now shows more upvoters than earlier, but still refuses to be transparent hiding the full list of upvoters thereby still enabling platform bias and vote manipulation.
- The upvote and comment graph is a nice addition.
- About section for each launch is added that gives a summary of how the launch performed.
- Upvote button now has a nice gradient color when you hover on it.
