As a music producer, I recognized the challenges associated with mastering music theory and crafting compelling melodies and chord progressions. Many conventional chord generators fall short, lacking the inclusion of melodies, customizability, and a diverse range of progressions that give chords a distinctive character—such as dorian, sevenths, and sharps. Moreover, these tools often come with a hefty price tag; for instance, platforms like ChordChord charge between $12 and $27 per month, and various plugins for popular DAWs like FL Studio and Ableton can be quite expensive.

Motivated by the need for a more accessible and comprehensive solution, I embarked on the journey of creating my own program dedicated to simplifying the process of writing chords. This program not only introduces "unique" scales to facilitate intricate progressions like dorian and sevenths but also allows users to download their creations as MIDI files. Compatible with any DAW, be it FL Studio, Logic, Ableton, and more, the program currently operates as a Windows (.exe) application, with plans for an expanded release to support MacOS in the final version.

One standout feature of my program is its integrated piano roll, providing users with the ability to edit and experiment with their compositions before finalizing and downloading their MIDI files. Drawing inspiration from successful music programs like Splice, which aids budding musicians with samples, my aim is to develop a program that serves as a valuable resource for enhancing both melody creation and music theory understanding.

I'm in the process of developing this program to make it as user-friendly and accessible as possible. I'm exploring different release options, and I'd love to hear your thoughts. Do you envision it as a standalone program or a web-based application? Additionally, considering the value it could bring to your music production, what price range would you find reasonable for such a tool?
