Roast my startup idea

Hey Reddit! We’re in the early stages of cooking up a startup called Foodsie and would love to get your brutally honest feedback. We're based in Belgium and setting our sights on the European market.

Foodsie is all about connecting food truck enthusiasts with their next great meal and providing food truck owners with tools to manage and grow their businesses. Our plan is to roll out a mobile app for consumers and a web-based portal for the truckers.

Here’s the gist:
  • For foodies: Our app aims to make discovering food trucks as easy as pie, with features like real-time location tracking, detailed menus, and user reviews. Think of it as your compass for navigating the vibrant street food scene.
  • For truck owners: The web portal offers a suite of tools for business management, from updating menus and locations to diving into customer analytics.
Our goal is to enhance the street food dining experience and help food truck owners thrive in the digital age. We're all about building a community where food lovers and food providers support and enrich one another.

As we’re still in the blueprint phase and crafting our strategy for the European palate, we’d greatly appreciate your insights, advice, or even your skepticisms. Do you think there’s an appetite for such a platform?

Before we fully commit to the recipe, we want your brutally honest thoughts. Got a minute? We’d love it if you could fill out this short Google Form: Foodsie Feedback Form. Your insights could help shape Foodsie into something truly delicious.

@ringstar It seems hard with the seasonality.

Most food trucks I've seen are already on the normal food delivery apps too, and people can discover them there.
