@greatar4 YC and VCs in general. They see tend to see it as a negative, the end result is that you have far less of a chance getting in.

@halltc The gate keeping in itself could be affecting the odds. There is some selection bias here: VCs are more strict when they invest in solo founders -> solo founders who get investments have to pass a higher standard -> solo founders with a higher standard have better chances of success than team founders —> it does not follow that VCs should lower the bar for solo founders. It just shows they need to be as diligent with cofounders as they already are with solo.
