GPT-4o launches

A huge step forward in AI here from OpenAI as they launch a new model, GPT-4o. You can re-watch the launch here: https://openai.com/index/spring-update/

I've tried it out and GPT-4o is very fast! You do need to be on the premium plan though in order to send it images or to work with DALL-e for image generation.

Some changes:

• everyone can access this model now for free (you don't have to pay for premium)

• there is now a desktop app

• the API price has been reduced by 50%

• It can do a lot better data analysis and you can get it produce charts really quickly.

• the voice model can detect emotion!

• you can do a lot of things in real-time, like translation.

It's voice assistant can teach kids maths just based on simple instructions.

$30k MRR for Senja

Well done to the Senja team for hitting $30k MRR!

They haven't been around long so it's clear the social proof/testimonial market is a great one to be in.

$1m from design services

Congratulations to Nick for hitting $1m from his unlimited design service, Baked Design.

Nick charges between $4,179 and $6,317 per month so it's obviously easier to get to $1m since his prices are a lot higher than the average business charges.

Startkit makes over $6k in April

Well done to James for making over $6,000 last month with his AI startkit boilerplate.

It's built on OpenAI, Node, MongoDB and Pinecone and comes with six demos so you can get started quickly.
