@lovepugs If Apple Maps would just get off of Yelp and use Google reviews, or just start their own… I’d use it exclusively since the UI looks great on my Apple devices. For now though, I keep using Google Maps to find new places and companies to go to

@lovepugs I absolutely despise Yelp, but the content they have for restaurants is useful (for consumers). The photos and captions definitely help make a choice for what to order.

@melco There have to have been lawsuits by now. I don't understand how it could be legal to hide positive reviews because people don't pay them. What have the courts said?

@uchinamuku2000 In the lawsuits I saw when I looked at it years ago, nobody was able to prove that Yelp manipulated ratings based on whether they got paid. It's very hard to prove for a small business that can't afford to pay millions of dollars for legal fees and forensic computer experts.
