Hello /r/roastmystartup,
Wishlist Page (https://wishlistpage.com/) is a free and privacy-friendly platform to share wishlists and receive gift funds.
The problem
As a Twitch streamer, Instagram influencer, OF model, etc. you often want to separate your real identity from your social media identity, so you can stay anonymous on the Internet and stafe in real life. Still, you might be looking for a way to make money with your social media identity. How do you do it without giving away your PayPal or bank account details?
The product
Wishlist Page is a safe and easy way to share a wishlist with your social media audience. You can sign up for free and add custom gift ideas to your wishlist that your followers/fans can buy for you. Our platform lets you create/link a Stripe account, so you receive the gift funds directly in your bank account. You can then order the gift by yourself. List the next iPhone, a coffee, special outfits, spa trips, shopping sprees, restaurant meals, flight tickets, and more.
The market
There are three rising competitors who are generating $1-5M platform revenue per month. One of them is Throne (mainly for Twitch streamers), the other one is WishTender (marketed to NSFW creators), and the last one is LuxyList (marketed to escorts). Throne is taking up to 7% per transaction, WishTender 10%, and LuxyList 12%.
What stage are you in? Do you need money? Are you raising?
Not raising money at the moment, we are strictly following the bootstrapping route.
Customer conversion strategy (where do you find them, and how do you make them buy shit from you)
We are engaging with Twitch streamers and NSFW creators on Twitter. So far no luck, we might have to change our strategy a bit.
Why you? (experience? good team? rich daddy who can't bring himself to pull the plug? what?)
I am a Senior Web Developer and coded the MVP by myself within 6 weeks. Now I can focus completely on marketing and customer acquisition.
