As a frugal startup, I wanted to utilize free Google Drive and apps like Sheets, Docs etc and turn it into low-cost, trimmed down version of enterprize apps. I started Ansarly and built a Recruitment platform (kind of ATS), that works on top of your Google drive.
Now I am having second thoughts.
Why would someone want to pay for something they know works on top of free product? Even if it makes your life really easy and super low-cost solution? The app caters to small teams, startups or freelance recruiters. As they grow (have $$$), thew would probably want something feature rich and established players. I'll probably lose those customers. If I compete with big players, I can no more be super low-cost solution.
What are your thoughts about it?
